“You’re an egotistical jackass.”

“You’re a pain in the ass.”

“Excuse me?”

“You walked into my office calling me a jackass. What’d you expect?”

“Jackass.”

He grinned. “You already said that.”

“You’re really not going to offer me a job, are you?”

“You haven’t applied for one.”

She stomped her foot. “Joshua!”

“Very mature.”

“I hate you.”

He smirked. “That’s not what you said last night. It was more like…”

“Shut-up. I’m qualified for many jobs around here.”

“Absolutely.”

“Then hire me!”

“Apply for something!”

“Fine. I hate you.”

“Fine.” He stood up, kissed her. “I’ll be home by eight.”
